Nigerian woman arrested for stabbing her husband to death in the US
The woman accused her husband of constant abuse and claimed he cheated on her with several women including her sister and their nanny's daughter.
According to Delaware Online, neighbors alerted the police after screams and shouting was heard emanating from the couple's home in the 1300 block of Healy Courton in New castle on Thursday April 23rd. When the police got to their home, they found Adeyinka in the pool of his blood with a 4 inch single stab wound just below his neck which severed his carotid artery and jugular vein.
2000 Boko Haram members storm Marte in Borno, capture town
Marte town in Borno state has reportedly been captured by Boko Haram members after about 2,000 of them stormed the town on Thursday April 23rd and engaged Nigerian troops in a gun battle, forcing the troops to flee the town.

All businesses owned by South Africans including Game, Shoprite, PEP and others in Malawi will be under lock and key today April 24th. Malawians are totally boycotting these businesses following the xenophobic attacks in South Africa. Two Malawians died during the attacks, many businesses owned by Malawians were destroyed and just 2 days ago, Wednesday April 22, 390 of them were repatriated to Malawi.

Malawi Police has arrested John Yasini in Mchinji after he battered his 18-year old wife whom he suspected of cheating and she is now battling for her life at the district hospital. Who will win the battle is yet unknown. Linda Phulani,was severely beaten with chains and steel rods. She lost a lot of blood and will need blood transfusion and an operation on the wounds. Linda said she was beaten because she went to see her friend without her husband’s consent.

Baring any last minute changes, four Nigerians along with 6 other nationals will be executed for drug related offenses in Indonesia tomorrow April 25th.
According to an Indonesian foreign Affairs official, the convicted foreigners will be taken to Nusakambangan, the prison island off Java where they are to be executed. Those to be executed also include 2 Australians, one Philippine, one Brazilian and one Indonesian. Australian and Nigerian government have been clamoring for clemency for the drug offenders but their plea appears to have fallen on deaf ears as the Indonesian government has finalized plans to execute the drug traffickers.
It is a law in Indonesia that anyone caught with banned drugs will be executed, foreigners& nationals.

When a rubber dinghy carrying around 100 African refugees across the Mediterranean began to sink, a Nigerian Christian prayed for his life in an innocent act that would end in the deaths of 12 fellow migrants. One of the Muslims on board the rickety craft ordered him to stop, saying: 'Here, we only pray to Allah.' Daredevil Robbers Met Their Waterloo In Fierce Shoot-out With Police In Osun
Three suspected armed robbers met their Waterloo in Osogbo, Osun State, as they died after sustaining bullet wounds during a shoot-out with the operatives of Special-Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) in the early hours of Friday. It was gathered that the suspects, who came in an unregistered Lexus car for a robbery operation, went to Oke Baale area of Osogbo, opposite Osun State Broadcasting Corporation (OSBC), to attack the residents at about 2.00 a.m.

23 year old female arrested for stabbing colleague to death during an argument
Yusuf Monsurat (23), a student of D.S. Adegbenro Polytechnic, Itori, Ogun State pictured above has been arrested by the Ogun state Police command for stabbing her colleague, Eric Moses, to death in their school hostel following an argument on March 17th.
According to Tribune, Monsurat who claims not to know how the incident happened, was a close friend of the deceased until she began to suspect him of being a cult member. This made her withdraw from him and even withdrew more after Eric confessed to her that he was indeed a cult member.

55 Corpers released after being held hostage for 24hours in Nasarawa
About 55 Corps members and staff of INEC deployed to serve as presiding officers, who were held hostage yesterday in Assakio, Ashige and Adogi in Lafia LGA in Nasarawa state on Saturday April 11th, have finally been released, according to a report by Vanguard
The Corpers were rescued by security men this afternoon and brought to INEC Headquarter in Lafia. The Corps members said they were held hostage by the host communities because INEC returning and collation officers refused to show up after the election was peacefully concluded to collate and return election results. They said when they tried to call the returning officers, they didn't pick their calls and the host communities refused to let them go until security men came to their rescue today.
