Queen of nudity, veteran actress, porn star and mother of two, Judith Opara Mazagwu a.k.a Afrocandy, is speaking out yet again about obvious things we somehow already know, from her gains of being a porn star, to the rumours of being broke and relocation to Nigeria and more. Read excerpts from her recent interview with Nigerian Tribune below and share your thoughts:
On being a porn star – does she have no shame?
“Why should I be ashamed? For your information, I am the mother of porn movie in the movie industry. I was the one who introduced nudity in the industry and nobody has gone to the level I have gone. No other actress has shown what I have shown. People including you have seen my boobs; please don’t let me go further. No one has beaten the record I set as a producer of porn movies. If you have seen my last movie, Destructive Instinct you will understand my point. I am still wearing the crown and I am not ready to hand over to anybody. The game has just begun and people have not seen anything yet. I want my fans to watch out. Meanwhile, I am happy that a lot of upcoming are willing to be like me. Honestly, I don’t have any problem with them taking after me.” Any regrets being described as a porn star
“People mix things up. I know how I do my things. Every occasion has its own outfit and fashion. So, I give them what they want at the appropriate time. It doesn't always have to be loud, but I love being loud because most of the things I do are loud. Show business is to show what you have got and I am showing it. I am Afrocandy and an eye candy has to look like an eye candy. Opening your cleavage is part of dressing. Wearing revealing dresses is normal and I think they are getting used to it here in Nigeria. I don’t have any regrets revealing my nakedness to the public. I have got it and I have a nice body, so, why not.”
You don’t care to walk in the streets naked?
We were all born naked. We don’t know whether what is written in the Bible is real. Have we ever asked ourselves why human beings are still born naked? We are committing the greatest sin by wearing clothes because God created us naked. We should be walking naked on the street because that was how we were born. If not that people will not let me rest, I would walk naked on the street. I know that my father in heaven will be happy that I am keeping His rules.
It was in the news that you were broke and couldn't pay your daughter’s school fees, what happened to your money?
“I was not broke, it was a stunt. I never knew it will go that far. That’s why I said everything about me is controversial. What actually happened was that there were many things going on at that time. I was pulling a stunt for two reasons. My money was seized by the US government but I will not want to disclose the reason now. I did that so they could release the money if they see the story online. I think it worked because my money was released and the other reason was to convince my daughter who rejected the school that gave her scholarship. I thought she might change her mind, but unfortunately it didn't work.” Did people respond to your plea?
“Yes. I got a couple of positive responses. My friend, the queen of Virginia, sent some money. Terry G, who is also a friend, responded. I was not broke and I can never be broke. Mind you, someone that is broke won’t come down from the US to Nigeria and spend over one month in an expensive hotel. The God of Abraham is my father, I can never be broke.”
On why she stayed in expensive hotels – does she not own an apartment in Nigeria?
No. I used to have a house before I left for the US but my ex sold it. That’s a topic for another day. I am definitely going to get another one soon. Currently, we are planning to get one at Lekki.
