Nigerian Troops Capture Boko Haram Commander In Konduga Victory

The defence headquarters has said that it captured a high ranking leader terrorists who was seriously wounded and is being treated in a Military medical facility after he was captured in the OP. The statement was released by the military high command on its official twitter account @DefenceInfoNG. 60 of his fighters died during the series of attacks they launched to gain access to Konduga and environs.

Weapons recovered include: 24 rifles, 5 Rocket Propelled Grenade Tubes, 2 Machine Guns and 1 Anti aircraft, as well as a Fond Ranger vehicle while another Ford Ranger vehicle was also destroyed.

Also at Benishek where troops fought through an ambush yesterday, 4 Motorcycles of the terrorists were captured. One soldier however died while four who were wounded are receiving treatment.
