Ayr United's kit launch is not what we were expecting... at all

Action Images

Kit launches are all the same aren't they? Er, well apparently not - Ayr United's is quite different
...Not what we were expecting At this point in the pre-season, we're all a little bit bored of kit launches.
Real Madrid's 7th kit was made out of recycled tofu and Manchester United's cup kit matches the leatherette interior of a Chevrolet Spark.

So when we received news of Ayr United's new kit launch, we were just about to hammer the delete button when we saw the actual contents of the press release.
To put it mildly, it was not what we were expecting.
That is putting it really mildly, by the way. This is what we had been sent...

Ayr United really misunderstood the term "football strip"

ActionAyr United Kit Launch
They really, really misunderstood the term

When you think about it, it's kind of Ayrlarious...

ActionAyr United Kit Launch
...that somebody's job was to actually paint this

...We spotted a number of inaccuracies in the press release

ActionAyr United Kit Launch
...Quite a few actually

Think you'll find that goal doesn't fulfill league requirements for minimum dimensions

And Ellis, the 'kit' model, will honestly never be able to lift up that tree

ActionAyr United Kit Launch
Roots go at least half a metre underground

Tree ivy is actually a weed, but kept under control, can be a beautiful addition to any garden

ActionAyr United Kit Launch
...Quite a few actually

...As is a well-constructed decking area, such as the one in the background here

ActionAyr United Kit Launch
Although the lawn is patchy at best

The club's nickname is 'The Honest Men'... btw

Maybe it should be the "Honestly you couldn't make this up... Men"

ActionAyr United Kit Launch
Although apparently, they did this very same thing last year, so you probably could have made it up

Okay, time to get some kit on now
